Bob Kohn

Bob Kohn is co-founder, Chairman and CEO of RoyaltyShare, Inc. Kohn is a leading expert on music licensing and intellectual property law & policy, and as an entrepreneur was a pioneer in digital music distribution. He is the co-author of Kohn On Music Licensing (Aspen Law & Business, 3rd Edition 2002), a 1,600-page legal treatise which USA Today termed the bible on legal issues in the music world. In 1998, he founded eMusic.com, Inc., the pioneering MP3 music-download service which was acquired in 2001 by Universal Music Group. Until recently, Kohn served vice chairman of the board of Borland Software Corporation where he previously served as senior vice president and general counsel. Prior to that, he was an associate attorney at the law offices of Milton A. "Mickey" Rudin, an entertainment law firm whose clients included Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, and Cher.

Kohn serves on the editorial board of the Entertainment Law Reporter and has taught law at Monterey College of Law in Monterey, California. He is a frequent lecturer and panelist at industry conferences, including most recently conferences co-sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce held in several cities in China. He also has made numerous appearances on television news programs as an authority on copyright and entertainment law.

Steve Grady

Steve Grady is co-founder, president and COO for RoyaltyShare, Inc. Grady is a veteran of the digital music space having spent the past seven years working in a variety of executive marketing and management positions at eMusic.com, one of the leading music download services and a pioneer in digital distribution. From 2001 to 2005, Grady served as general manager of the download service. Prior to that Grady was executive vice president of Marketing.

Before his tenure in the digital music business, Grady spent 10 years in marketing and communications roles in the Internet and PC Software industries. His background includes positions with Infoseek, Borland Software, Ashton-Tate, Teradata Corporation and Lotus Development.

Grady holds a Masters Degree in Communications studies from Emerson College and a Bachelors in Public Communication from Ashland University.

Donald Dixon

Donald R. Dixon

Don Dixon has been a co-founder and Managing Director of Trident Capital since 1993. From 1988 to 1993, Dixon was Co-President of Partech International, a private equity fund manager associated with Banque Paribas. From 1983 to 1988, he was a Managing Director of Alex. Brown & Sons. Earlier in his career, Dixon was a Vice President of Morgan Stanley & Co., and a Senior Account Officer at Citibank, N.A.

In addition to RoyaltyShare, Dixon serves as a Director of Clarus Systems, Emic Networks, Epicor Software Corporation (EPIC), Merchant e-Solutions, Inc., and Qualys Inc. . Earlier, he served as a Director of Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), Anasazi Inc., BankAmerica Merchant Services, Inc. (BPI), BlueStar Solutions, Inc., CSG Systems International, Inc (CSGS)., Evolving Systems, Inc. (EVOL), InfoUSA, Inc., Pegasus Systems, Inc. (PEGS), PGI, Inc., Sygate Technologies, Inc. and Unison Software, Inc. (UNSN).

Dixon earned his B.S.E. from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Dixon is also an Executive Committee member of the SEAS Strategic Planning Committee at Princeton University School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Mark Iwanowski

Mark Iwanowski

Mark Iwanowski has 25 years of experience in technology services and has held executive positions with Fortune 500 companies, including Honeywell, Raytheon, SAIC and Oracle. He has also served as a principle in two successful startups: Applied Remote Technology and Quantum Magnetics.

Iwanowski was most recently Senior Vice President Global IT for Oracle Corporation, the world's largest enterprise software provider with $14B in revenue. Iwanowski was responsible for managing 1500 people running Oracle's IT systems in 100+ countries around the globe. Additionally, he was responsible for the integration of Oracle's Global IT services with Oracle's Global Product Support to ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality services to Oracle On Demand customers.

Prior to Oracle, he managed a Systems Integration and Outsourcing business for SAIC, the world's largest private system integrator.

Iwanowski holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in engineering from California Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from National University and has received multiple management excellence awards throughout his career.

Jeffrey D. Saper

Jeffrey D. Saper

Jeffrey D. Saper is the vice chairman of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the largest law firm in the Silicon Valley specializing in high-technology and emerging growth companies. He also serves as a member of the firm's Executive Management Committee and Policy Committee. He received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from New York University.

Saper specializes in public and private financings of high technology companies and corporate partnership transactions, as well as representation of investment banks and corporate issuers in connection with public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. He also has extensive expertise in cross-border corporate transactions, including the $640 million acquisition of Dr. Solomon (U.K.) by Network Associates, the initial public offering by Infosys Technologies, Ltd., the first U.S. offering by an Indian company, and the initial public offering by SCM Microsystems, which was one of the first simultaneous dual listings on Nasdaq and the Neuer Market. He also served as company counsel for two Israeli companies, Backweb Ltd. and ClickSoftware Technologies, in their U.S. initial public offerings.

Richard Sarnoff is President of Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, and directs BDMI's investment and portfolio management activities from New York City. Mr. Sarnoff also serves as Executive Vice President of Random House and as a member of the Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann AG. Mr. Sarnoff held various management positions at Random House's predecessor company, Bantam Doubleday Dell and was named Chief Financial Officer in 1996. After the merger, he was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Random House, Inc. In 2000, Mr. Sarnoff became President, Random House Corporate Development Group, and since that time has directed Random House's new media, merger and acquisition, and strategic planning activities. Also in that role, he has overseen the company's investment activities as President of Random House Ventures, L.L.C., managing its interests in companies including Vocel, Inc., American Reading Company, Inc., The Princeton Review, Inc., (REVU), Audible, Inc., (ADBL), Classic Media, Inc., Xlibris, Inc., and Ebrary, Inc. Mr. Sarnoff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard University.

In addition to his board position in the portfolio companies of Random House Ventures and BDMI, he serves on the Board of Directors of Activision, Inc. as well as not-for-profit organizations including the Center for Communication, Princeton University Press, The Association of American Publishers, and the Bronx Lab School.

Keith Titan

Keith Titan

Keith Titan is a Principal at BDMI. He was previously Vice President of Random House Ventures, L.L.C., where he spearheaded new investments and helped guide strategy for various portfolio companies. Prior to that, he was Vice President of New Media for Random House, Inc. where he pursued new business opportunities with companies exploring innovative ways to connect digital media, the web and publishing. Prior to that Mr. Titan was Senior Director of ePublishing and eCommerce at Simon & Schuster Inc. Prior to that, he worked as a Marketing Manager at Penguin Group (USA) Inc. and as an advertising Account Executive at J. Walter Thompson.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, an MBA from Rutgers University and an Ed.M. from Harvard University. Mr. Titan currently serves on the board of directors for Imagespan, Emotive Communications and Xlibris. He is on the board of advisors for VOCEL and is a board observer for American Reading Company, Trion World Network and RoyaltyShare.
